WEEK 5 Preview

All three games will conclude home-home season series.

Week 5 in the Maritime University Field Lacrosse Leagues sees three games with five teams in action.

With September in the rear-view mirror, attentions turn towards October as the season will be more than half-over by the end of the weekend.

Saturday Oct. 3rd 11 am Acadia  (3-1) at Mount A (0-5): The Axemen beat the Mounties 27-2 last week in Wolfville.  John MacDonald leads Acadia with 16 points (2,14) and 15 other players have scored atleast a goal this season. Rookie Errol Spring is 3-1 on the year with a 5.25 GAA.

Mount A is led by Campbell DeMont with six points and seven others have scored this year for the Mounties. Jacob Bragg is 0-5.

Sunday Oct. 4th 11 am Acadia at UNB (1-5): Acadia's second game in two days will show what this team is made of. These two teams played Sept. 13 with Acadia winning 11-5.  Alex Miller leads UNB with 22 points on 19 goals. Nine others have scored goals and Matt McConnell is 1-5 with a 12.67 GAA.

Sunday Oct. 4th 6:30 pm SMU (0-4) at STFX (5-0): STFX won in Halifax Sept. 26th 26-11 and look to sweep the home-home season series. Ian McShane leads MUFLL in points (41), goals (27) and tied for first in assists (14). 15 others have scored goals for the X-Men. Zach Leblanc is 5-0 with a 8.00 GAA.

Jesse Magarvey leads SMU with 12 points and six others have scored goals for the Huskies. Goalies Mitchell DuTrizac (21.00 GAA) and rookie Morgan Manuel (19.00 GAA) are both 0-2 on the year.
