Dal Tigers Defeat UNB Buccaneers at Wickwire Field

Sep. 30, 2015

The full moon and pink sunset provided a great backdrop to watch the Tigers play the Buccaneers at home. The Bucs played well but the Tigers were able to keep their winning record intact.

The Dal Tigers hosted the UNB Buccaneers last Saturday night, winning 17-5. First and second quarter scores of 5-1 saw Dal up 10-2 at half. A close third quarter for Dal 4-3, had the Tigers up 14-5 to start the fourth. Dal added three goals in the final frame for their sixth win, 17-5. UNB drops to 1-4.

Dal's Ricky Canning led all scorers with four points on the night. Dal had nine goal scorers: Canning (4), Sam Martin (3), Paddy Quinn, Brett McGuire and Wes Gardner each had two goals while Louis Martin, Sam Domachevski, Neil McCallum and Sawyer Howell added singles for the Tigers. Goalie Matt Dunbar picked up the win in nets.

UNB scoring was lead by Caleb Parker with two goals while single goals were added by Mackenzie McCoy, Heath Read and Alex Miller. Goalie Matt McConnell picked up the loss in nets.
