MUFLL Championship Weekend 2015-Quarter Final Previews

#4 UNB v #5 SMU in QTR-Final #1 6pm Fri Nov 6 #3ACA v #6 MTA in QTR-Final #2 8pm Fri Nov 6

The Maritime University Field Lacrosse League is proud to hold its 11th annual Championship Weekend 2015 in Antigonish, N.S., on the campus of Saint Francis Xavier University's Oland Stadium Nov 6-8

Quarter Final #1 pits the #4 UNB Buccaneers v #5 SMU Huskies Friday Nov. 6th at 6pm.

UNB won the regular-season 2-0 with wins coming Sept. 12 (12-4) and Oct. 24th (18-11).  In nets for UNB is Matt McConnell with a 10.70 GAA.

Leading UNB in points on the year are: Alex Miller with 42 points (32goals, 10 assists), Heath Read 27pts (26,1), Mackenzie McCoy 17pts (9,8) and Zachary Dunseith 15pts (14,1).

SMU split time in nets between Mitchell Dutrizac (17.83 GAA) and rookie Morgan Manuel (16.00 GAA).

Leading SMU in points on the year are: Blake MacDonald 44pts (33,11), Jesse Magarvey 20pts (19,1), Peter Smith 13pts (13,0), and Lee Davidson 12pts (11,1).


Quarter-Final #2 pits the #3 Acadia Axemen versus the #6 Mount A Mounties Friday Nov. 6th at 8pm.

Acadia won the regular-season 2-0 with wins cominig Sept. 27 (27-2) and Oct. 3 (25-2). Rookie Errol Spring leads the Axemen in nets with a 8.30 GAA.

Leading Acadia in points on the year are: Gavin Quigley 43pts (34,9), John MacDonald 33pts (10,23), Luke Byrne 29pts (27,2), Chris Clifford 23pts (22,1), Robbie Grant 23pts (18,5), Charlie Clary 12pts (12,0), and Matt Kivell 10pts (7,3).

Mount A split time in nets between Jacob Bragg (21.50GAA) and Spencer Betts (14.50GAA).

Leading Mount A in points on the year are: Geoff Zed 18pts (14,4), Gus Doane 10pts (6,4), Campbell Demont 9pts (7,2) and Betts added 9pts (4,5).
