Congratulations to the Dalhousie Tigers, 2016 MUFLL Champions!

Nov. 23, 2016

After a dominant 8-0 first quarter, it appeared as if the Dalhousie Tigers were going to run away with their 6th straight championship, but a determined St. FX team battled back to make it interesting at half.

The faceoff circle was an important factor in this game. In the 2nd quarter, X Middie Scott Arlidge got the best of Dal's Louis Martin, helping X trim Dal's lead to 10-9 at half. From there, it was all Martin, who capped off his career with 6 titles in 6 years, First Team All Star at two positions (Midfield and Faceoff Specialist) and was named league MVP.

Back on their heels for the first time all season, Dal made a change in net, and capitalized on opportunity after opportunity to run away with a 14-2 2nd half, taking the title game 24-11 for the 6th consecutive year.  Dal leaned on several veteran players, including Paddy Quinn, who netted 7 goals for the Tigers, and Hayden Nix, a former pole at McGill University, who successfully shutdown scoring champion Connor Clarkson for most of the game.

Congrats to all players, coaches and management staff on another successful season!
