September 16th and 17th is busy for the MUFLL

Week 2 of the 2023 season is a busy one - 5 games throughout the maritimes, including the season opener for the SMU Huskies.

The weekend kicks off with UPEI Panthers visiting the MTA Mounties, 2pm in Sackville on Saturday the 16th, in the first half of a weekend home and home for the 5th and 6th place finishers a season ago. That same evening, the Huskies open their season at home hosting UNB in Halifax at 6pm, Huskies Stadium. Both teams finished last season 5-5, with SMU winning the tie break and the 3rd seed last season. 

Sunday September 17th is the first day of the season where all 6 teams are in action. The Mounties and Panthers will once again kick things off at 1:15pm in Cornwall, PEI, before the Reds complete their road trip to Halifax facing off against the Tigers of Dalhousie, 1:30pm at Wickwire Field. The Huskies will also be hitting the road for a Sunday night affair in Antigonish, facing the X-Men at 7pm with hopes to avenge their semi-final loss from last year's championship weekend.
