Former St. Francis Xavier standout Payton Tasse was selected this afternoon 73rd overall in the 5th round of the 2025 NLL Draft by the Halifax Thunderbirds.
A shifty attackman known for his playmaking abilities, Tasse ranks 16th all-time in assists and currently sits at 42nd all-time in MUFLL scoring. During his three seasons with the X-Men, he took home the 2022 MUFLL Top Scorer award and was named a First Team All-Star in both 2022 and 2023.
Dalhousie goalie Zach Richards was chosen in the 6th round, 82nd overall, by the Oshawa FireWolves.
Richards burst onto the MUFLL scene in 2022, his rookie season with the Tigers. That year he earned Second Team All-Star honours and was a finalist for league MVP, quickly establishing himself as one of the league’s top impact players.
