Both teams played hard and were even in scoring at the half. The Huskies had a three goal edge over the Axemen after the 3rd quarter but couldn't hang on as it was all Acadia in the 4th quarter with 6 unanswered goals. Lots of scoring and great field lacrosse action for the fans.
In Fredericton, NB, the UNB Buccaneers hosted their first MUFLL home game back in the League with St FX X-Men starting a two game road trip for the first weekend of their season. The Buccaneers kept it close for the first half but the X-Men broke it out in the second half with Ian McShane leading the way with 8 goals. Final score was 21-7.
This afternoon in Sackville, NB, the St FX X-Men continued their winning way against host Mt Allison Mounties. They came out strong in the first quarter and proved too much for the Mounties to handle. The final score was 16-4.
