Dal Tigers defeated the Mt Allison Mounties 23 to 7 in weekend action last night at Wickwire Field. SMU Huskies edged St FX X-Men in OT in an exciting come from behind victory at Oland Stadium Field by a score of 18 to 17.
Dal Tigers consolidated their league dominance in a Saturday night match up with the Mt Allison Mounties. Mt Allison held their own in the first quarter and into the half but the Tigers hit the net successfully throughout the second half giving the Mt A defencemen lots of work. SMU Huskies were back on their heels after the first quarter in Antigonish, down 7 to 1, but the fourth quarter was theirs as they won that quarter 9 to 2, to tie the game in regulation time. Two overtime periods put SMU up by one goal to win the game.
