Five teams in action highlight Week 4 results.

Three games this past weekend saw five teams in action.

Three games this past weekend saw five teams in action. UNB hit the road for two games versus Dal and STFX while Acadia hosted Mount A.

The Dal Tigers hosted the UNB Buccaneers last Saturday night, winning 17-5. First and second quarter scores of 5-1 saw Dal up 10-2 at half. A close third quarter for Dal 4-3, had the Tigers up 14-5 to start the fourth. Dal added three goals in the final frame for their sixth win, 17-5.  UNB drops to 1-4.

The Acadia Axemen hosted the Mount A Mounties Sunday afternoon in Wolfville, Nova Scotia and picked up the 27-2 win. 4-1 after 20 minutes, Acadia exploded for consecutive quarters of 8-0, ending the half up 12-1 and 20-1 after three quarters. A 7-1 fourth quarter saw Acadia improve to 3-1. Mount A falls to 0-5. 

Playing their second game in two days, UNB travelled to Antigonish, Nova Scotia , facing the undefeated 4-0 STFX X-men. Scoring after one quarter of play saw X up 2-1, with a 5-2 second frame had the X-men taking a 7-3 halftime lead. A 4-0 third quarter extended the lead 11-3, followed by an even 3-3 fourth quarter. STFX won 14-6 and moves to  5-0 while UNB falls to 1-5.

Week 5 action resumes 11 am Saturday Oct. 3rd when Mount A (0-5) hosts Acadia (3-1). Sunday Oct. 4th sees Acadia travel to UNB (1-5) at 11am. SMU (0-4) visits STFX (5-0) Sunday at 6:30pm.
